  • Sage and Stone Butchery is an ODA Licensed poultry processing facility in Redmond, Oregon. We specialize in chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, quail and game birds.

    • All birds are plucked, cleaned, chilled, and wrapped in heat shrink bags.

    • We offer whole birds, speciality cuts, and grinds (see price list)

    • All birds are labeled with an ODA compliant label that includes date and weight.

    • We offer custom labeling for an additional fee.

    • We offer ice free of charge.

  • We’re more than just processors - we’re farmers, too. We understand the time, care, and commitment it takes to raise poultry, and we treat every bird with the same respect we expect for our own. From start to finish, your birds’ wellbeing is our priority, ensuring you receive the highest-quality poultry possible.

    We are in the final stages of Animal Welfare Certification and will be certified for the 2026 season.

  • We accept processing appointments seasonally (April-November).

    Please note, appointments are accepted by email only and the more advanced notice you give us, the more likely we’ll be able to accommodate your schedule.

    *We have a shared driveway. Stick to the right and follow the signs to the drop off location.

    Please be sure to transport your birds safely. If you need rental crates, please read below for additional information.

    Please bring enough clean coolers to hold your finished birds, plus ice (we provide). You’ll leave these with us at drop off and we’ll use them to chill and hold your birds after processing.

    Prior to your scheduled drop-off, you’ll receive a Processing Agreement Form. Please make sure that form is signed and returned. We cannot provide service to folks without a Processing Agreement Form on file.

  • Please discontinue feeding 24 hours prior to appointment time. However, continue to provide water until drop off.

    *Please note, that if you fail to withhold feed, there is an additional fee for filled crops during processing.

  • If you possess a reliable mode of transportation, a rental crate isn't necessary, but it's essential to ensure your birds are appropriately contained. Please note that we don't provide rental crates for turkeys. An affordable alternative is wire dog cages, which are effective and easy to maintain. Loose chickens in trailers pose safety risks, so we no longer accept this practice. Our rental crates are priced per crate, with each accommodating up to 10 birds. If you arrive with loose chickens, you'll be required to rent chicken crates and load your chickens before your appointment.

  • We will notify you when we are finishing up your order. Please let us know your preferred method of contact (call or text). You will need to pick your finished birds up the same day as drop off. We do not provide overnight holds of products.

    We’ll provide a final invoice at pick up.

  • Chickens over 6lbs. and turkeys over 20lbs. will be charged an additional fee. This will only be on the excess pounds at finished weight. For example, a 7lb. chicken would be $7 plus $1 (excess weight)= $8 total cost to process.
